Every 6 hours: The timing for Ibuprofen is every six hours as needed. However, this will help with pain and somewhat with the inflammation, if thee is still a lot of swelling or itching from the bite, diphenhydramine (Benadryl) may be a good additional medication to try. Cool compresses are also helpful.
