No: Acyclovir is for the treatment of Herpes virus, and it is the treatment of choice of fever blisters (which are a form of herpes, not to be confused with genital herpes) Docosanol, if it has been effective for your blisters, then they are not herpes. But the two drugs are not interchangeable...
