I had a negative emg over a year ago but my hand specialist doesn't seem to think i'm worth retesting. i'm still in pain. why won't he do a mri?

See details: He won't order an MRI because he believes it has no diagnostic value in your situation. If the first EMG was normal, there is no reason to retest. Back pain is not related to hand numbness. Get a 2nd opinion with a neurologist.

I have had pain in both of my arms for the last year. I have had an EMG and an MRI and the doctors cannot find anything wrong. The pain is in my upper arms and travels down to my hands on both sides. Has anyone else dealt with something like this?
