The hand specialist is suggesting i see a neurologist for my arm/hand pain. this is worker's comp. both tests for emg and xray are negative. why?

Thought: EMG is for nerve function speed. X-ray will show some soft tissue but more bone. There are tendons, muscle, vessels, cartilage, that are part of an extremity and can have issues. Some other pains are referred pain from heart etc Good history,physical exam may guide to cause of trouble, and confirm wit higher testing.
