Need more informatio: It really depends on what else is going on. Does she have an infection? Did she eat lots of carbs? What sort of medicinea is she on? Any other medical problems? Any fever?

Control diabetes: Hi. I can't say if she needs to go to the ER or not without knowing her case and seeing her. But she certainly needs to get her diabetes in control (they're NOT good at that in ER's). She needs to see her doc or get a referral to someone who is good at diabetes, get some diabetes education, get on the right medicine(s), and probably work on starting a healthy lifestyle. It takes attention & effort
