Possibly: You never mention how big your baby is. You could get to 36 ounces by feeding 4.5 ounces every 3 hours which is definitely on the high side of what I usually see.

Yes!: Twenty four ounces in twenty four hours would be the approximate maximum an infant of this age should want or need. Infants often over eat as a response to untreated acid reflux
