HIV tests: False negative results are unusual provided it's been at least 6 weeks or so since the probable exposure to the disease as there is a window during which you could be infected and not have sufficient antibodies but within a few months the test should be positive every time. Viral load PCR testing can also be used if further confirmation is needed.
