A member asked:

Hello, i tested negative for hiv 5 weeks after exposure via a antibody finger prick test. i tested negative again after 10 weeks exposure via oraquick, are these results pretty accurate and are they conclusive?

HIV: Thus far you have no evidence of HIV antibodies, but to be sure of no infection, a repeat test after 12 weeks is advisable.

Agree with Dr. C: To be certain, you should get a HIV nucleic acid test at 6 months after the exposure. Have a healthy diet, exercise 30 minutes/day, drink plenty of water daily so your urine is mostly colorless, have safe sex, no tobacco alcohol weed or street drugs. For nutrition: http://www.choosemyplate.gov/. Get HPV vaccine. Wish you good health!
