Are you kidding?: The doctor examined you and diagnosed you with Hemorrhoids. Rectal bleeding is most commonly hemorrhoids. It is not colon cancer. That is not how cancer appears or is diagnosed. If you do not believe us then get your hemorrhoids treated and then consider asking a GI specialist for a screening colonoscopy.

Yes: Colon cancer is seen in people in your age group. The youngest patient in my practice was 41. He had nonspecific GI complaint & I ordered a colonoscopy that saved his life by finding early cancerous polyp. Moral of this story...get a colonoscopy. If normal, hemorrhoids can bleed & cause rectal pain but don't turn into cancer. Proper high fiber diet and drinking a lot of water is the best treatment
