What is the optimal ferritin level before conceiving a baby? if you have a high risk patient with ferritin level of 7, will you let her wait or go?

Treat her: I'm not even a clinician and I know to do this. A proper workup for the cause of the iron deficiency would be in order as well. The question is not 'the best lab value', but 'Treat this serious deficiency and find the cause for the sake of this unfortunate woman.'
