Please: don't try to wean yourself off opiates at 30 weeks of pregnancy with instructions from on-line doctors. Most strongly encourage you to be candid with your physician. Taper should be under medical supervision.

Caution re taper: Tapering opioids before pregnancy is a better option than during this time, why at 7 months? This answer really depends on which medicine and what dose. Spontaneous abortion occurs at higher risk during tapering while pregnant, so it not automatically advised. You need your OB and neonatologist to advise you at this stage. Infant deaths have occurred while nursing as well while on opioids.
