Probably not: ELITE Athletes will often have low blood pressure and low heart rates at REST...but when actively engaged in athletics, they go up and provide adequate oxygen and blood flow to working muscles. If you feel he is fatigued easily after or during the athletic events, then get him evaluated by a pediatric cardiologist to be safe. Good luck.
