NO: Assuming you mean CARPAL Tunnel, that is from the median nerve being entrapped and inflamed as it goes through the carpal bones (which form a tunnel) in the wrist. Upper arm swelling and shoulder pains may be caused by another issue, so get it evaluated by Doc. best wishes to you.

No: The carpal tunnel is located in the wrist, and thus the syndrome does not occur in the shoulder. However, there are other problems that cause shoulder pain and swelling. Please see a doctor for diagnosis.

Check your shoulder: Carpal Tunnel Syndrome is a very specific diagnosis involing the bones and nerves in the hand. Your shoulder swelling could be Arthritis pain and over the counter pain killers like Ibuprofen may help. I am assuing there was no recent injury or trauma to the shoulder. I fyour swelling doesnt subsisde or if you have worsening pain and limited movement, then consult your primary doctor.
