Need to check: SLE can affect the kidneys. You don't say how much protein, but ask your Rheumatologist if important because Lupus Nephritis usually needs more treatment than prednisone alone. You don't mention cells or casts but there may not be much in early nephrotic syndrome. If it's being followed by a Rheumatologist,there may not be concern, so check.
