History & physical: The key to accurately diagnosing any condition is to start with listening carefully to your story, then asking more focused questions (a history). Then a careful physical exam, based on history, will help narrow down possibilities. Looking in nose & throat w/ light sounds obvious here, but presenting to your doc w/ a request for specific testing, may create bias. May need bloodwork or ENT refer.
