Could be strep: You should see you local doc for an exam and throat culture to be sure you do not have strep throat that should be treated with an appropriate antibiotic!

Fever ? Other sympt?: The white 'pockets' are almost diagnostic of strep, but if the coating is more uniform, consider thrush (oral candidiasis). Both are treatable, but the strep can quickly become very serious. Strep is usually accompanied with fever, unless you take tylenol (acetaminophen) or motrin which will suppress fever. A 1 second peek from a good Dr can determine which it is
