Unlikely: But if you're concerned, don't take chances. A sudden loss of air movement through one nostril, suggests the problem is there, rather than the more serious organs like the heart, blood, or lungs. Watch for blood in the nostril, or back of the throat.

Not dangerous: I think when your nose gets stuffy, it's not usual to feel short of breath. A more serious symptom (to help distinguish) would be if you found you couldn't do (due to breathlessness) activities you're used to doing. The 2 likeliest causes of your nasal obstruction are viral infection and allergy. IF it persists >1 week and is unaccompanied by sore throat, I'd consider the latter.
