GE vs ENT?: Swallowing difficulty can be caused by upper throat problems which are checked by an ENT or further down into Esophagus which can be checked by a gastroenterologist(GE). If your symptoms do not settle down over the next 3-4 weeks go see one or the other.... A repeat check with the aid of a lighted instrument (Endoscopy)may be required to make 100% certain that all is well.
