Difficult to say: Without seeing a picture of what the lesion is, it is very difficult to say. As many different skin lesions, both benign and more concerning, can have a "white" appearance. I would really encourage you to have your husband see his primary care doctor to make sure it isn't something more concerning. Best of luck.
