See your GI doctor: First you need to see your gastroenterologist. New constipation is something that should always be evaluated. Colonoscopies are essential in evaluating new symptoms. Over the counter laxatives can help, but it is no substitute for a doctors visit.

BM: Would try an over the counter laxative for now. If you have results with this good.... If not probably need to consult your doctor. Either way you will probably need to get a scope for cancer screening ..

Constipation : Are you taking a new medication or supplement that might be causing that? If not , it could be low thyroid function and/ or a significant deficiency of magnesium. You could hydrate really well, take several doses of magnesium, and take a nice walk. Hopefully that will get your bowels moving. If not, see your doctor. Best wishes.
