Diaper rash: The first line treatment for a diaper rash is an agent that provides a barrier between the skin and the baby's waste. Antibacterial creams like Fucidin are not first line unless there is an actual bacterial infection.

Not for fungus: Most diaper rashes are fungal in origin and Fucidin cream is an antibiotic so it would not necessarily help the rash unless there was a bacterial component to it, irregardless of any open sores. If the open sores are infected, this cream can help and may also help prevent them from getting infected. Get the rash diagnosed to assure the best treatment if it persists. Good luck to you.
