Neurologist First: First, see a neurologist and make sure that what you have is a real migraine. Preventative and abortive medications are first line treatments. If you have specific trigger points, Botox injections may be helpful to eliminate these as causes. If this is helpful, surgery to free up the nerves causing the pain can be curative.
