Usually neurologic: The most common causes are neurologic problems, although there can be motor problems that cause the symptoms. Neurologic problems include anything from intrauterine strokes to cerebral palsy and many individual neurologic processes. Motor problems can include a variety of muscular dystrophies. Need to be working with a great pediatric neurologist and possibly a geneticist. Best of luck...
