Histopathology: When a tumor is removed the job of the pathologist is to make a pathologic diagnosis and compare with clinical impression Then the tumor is graded to define metastatic potential, number of mitosis may be evaluated as well as hormone receptor activity if indicated. Blood vessel and neural invasion examined and as of now the genetic make up in terms of mutations that have occurred.
