Possible, not likely: There are much more common causes for headaches, for example migraines or sinus conditions, among others, that can cause headaches. Keep a log of your symptoms and take to your doctor.

More information...: We would need more information to determine if there are any red flags that point to the possibility of a brain tumor. For example: How long has the symptoms been going on, fainting, changes in vision, worsening of pain with certain positions,among others. If this a new onset pain and you have never experienced it in the past, and never examined schedule a visit with your PCP for evaluation.

Neurologist: Brain tumors Don't cause the scalp to turn red. Frequent headaches should be evaluated by a neurologist to determine the cause although tension is a common cause of recurrent headaches. Migraine is also common.
