Internal carotid: artery supplies the brain through the anterior neck after common carotid artery divides into external and internal branches. I don't think your headaches are connected to your corrective procedure. You should consult with your neurologist again.

Neck: Your carotid arteries are located in the lateral portions of your neck. It would be hard to make any more assumptions without knowing where the coiling was exactly. Did you have that same pain a year ago when you had the aneurysm identified? I would suggest you see the doctor who diagnosed you with this to talk about the details and your current pains further.
