Dr. Mike Bowman answered

Specializes in ENT and Head and Neck Surgery

Physical exam: Your ent/laryngologist can diagnose most voice disorders by listening to you, going over your medical history, and then examining you and your voice box. There are many types of voice disorders, and some form of treatment can help with most of them. A long term voice problem (over 1-2 weeks) may indicate a serious condition so don't delay in getting seen. Best wishes.
