Anyone: Voice disorders are common, and voice problems can be due to any number of problems including infection, reflux disease, overuse, smoking, vocal cord polyps, cancer, etc. If you have a laryngitis which goes away on its own within a week or two, great. If you have a voice problem which is worsening or lasts more than 2-3 weeks you should bring it to your doctor's attention. Best wishes!

Anyone is at risk: Voice disorders can happen to anyone. There are those based in a neurological problem, those that happen after injury, intubation or surgery and those that happen from "overuse"- i prefer to think of it as need-ability mismatch. Since we're all at risk, we should all be conscious of the voice since it's part of our 'fingerprint' in an audio and video world.
