Several possible: Hearing voices in one's head would be auditory hallucinations, which can come with many types of problems. Psychotic depression; bipolar d/o with mania; schizophrenia;, schizoaffective d/o; brief psychotic d/o;, psychotic d/o related to medications or other medical conditions; drug intoxication or withdrawal; and some others are all possible.
