4-6 Weeks: Bupropion is an antidepressant that works primarily by increasing dopamine. If you have had absolutely no improvement in your depression, you may be on too low of a dose, or this may just be a medication that doesn't work for you. Also make sure you have the right diagnosis. Do NOT discontinue this without consulting your psychiatrist, but I would bring this up with him/her.
