A member asked:

I am still on iron pills because my blood was so low?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Read below: Iron deficiency anemia (low blood count ) is most commonly due to bleeding. The cause of the bleeding must be determined and stopped and the list iron must be replaced so you can make red blood cells. Iron is replaced with pills or injections, but some patients do not absorb the pills well. Ask your doctor what your iron levels are and why your blood remains low while taking iron.
