You certainly can,: especially is your gyn serves as your primary care doc as well (many do). but by the location of your discomfort, it's more likely to be GI- than gyn related issue.

Maybe: Some gynecologists have a primary care office practice, although many don't - or they may treat a limited range of primary care problems. If you have one (or know of one) who does this, he/she may be a good choice. I would not recommend making an appointment with a gyn doctor for GI pain unless you know that doctors handles those cases: a family doctor or an internist would be a better choice
