Pap smear: It was probably a pap smear of the cervix to check for cervical cancer cells.

Vaginal swab: Hello, A vaginal swab can assess for various sexually and non-sexually transmitted infections. Most commonly, sexually transmitted infections can cause pelvic pain so this is why a diagnosis such as this needs to be ruled out.
