Nothing is wrong: Sometimes that first tooth takes its sweet time showing up. But after the first one, they start coming in at a pretty good clip. Just be patient.

Don't worry: Hi, It is pretty common for the baby teeth to come in late. Sometimes the first tooth doesn't come until age 1 year. There isn't any particular reason for the teeth to come in late. It just seems to happen randomly to some babies.

Watchful Waiting: 8 mos old, "no sign of first tooth". The normal range for teething is age 3-12 mos. Most babies have a tooth at 6 mos. If your baby is up-to-date with baby checks, and showing normal growth & development, then no action is needed. Your baby is still in the normal range for tooth eruption. Do keep your next well baby appointment which is at age 9 mos.
