Nerve entrapment: I am assuming you are referring to pudendal nerve entrapment. Ouch. Your Dad needs to see a pain management specialist. First step in treatment would be a diagnostic/therapeutic injection to help confirm the diagnosis. Radio frequency ablation is something to be considered usually only after failure of injection (usually a trial of 3) to try and control the pain. Hope this helps. Good luck.

Multiple modalities: There are numerous therapeutic approaches for treating Pudental Nerve Entrapment Syndrome which is what I think you're referring to but none is 100% effective and often more than one approach is needed to control the symptoms. The procedure you're referring to is still experimental. The most important first step is to be sure the diagnosis is correct as other (serious) conditions can mimic it.
