I had conjunctivitis last week but it went away now my caruncle is swollen and my left eye is dry and it hurts when i try to put eyedrops in.

Time to see your doc: Because the symptoms are persisting after conjunctivitis, you need to see the doctor to rule out other eye problems.

Follow up w/eye dr.: Lubricating artifical tears/ eye drops WITHOUT preservative would be less irritating to use until you can see your eye doctor to follow up from last week's pink eye. Have her/him check your swollen caruncle. Lubricating gel is also available for overnight use.
