Disc problem?: Sounds like a disc problem in your neck, your history says you have degenerative disc disease, so that is probably the cause of your pain. Moist heat, stretching, avoiding lifting or reaching over your head, and ibuprofen should help. If not see your doctor. You may need an MRI and/or physical therapy. Good luck!
