Hang in there: What is called a pinched nerve is more properly called radiculopathy. It is the result of compression of a nerve toot as it leaves the spine. It can be the result of a herniated disc or arthritic narrowing of the bony corridor of the nerve. In the majority of the cases, the pain will subside over several weeks. It is important to test your strength. PT may help while you wait.
