Consider Other Cause: While your anxiety and panic attacks may be psychological, other medical conditions can cause similar conditions. Increased thyroid hormone due to a variety of causes can cause similar symptoms. Discuss these symptoms with your doctor and allow them to determine if additional testing is necessary to look for other causes of your symptoms.

Uncomfortable: Anxiety and panic attacks are disruptive and uncomfortable. With treatment they will subside. Look at whatever may have triggered their return with your doctor. Medication may help with short term control until you find a way to manage your anxiety.

Counseling helps: Talk to your primary care provider about getting into counseling and being evaluated by a psychiatrist if needed. Some times medication may be needed in addition to counseling therapy.
