Why?: Why do you think you have a carotid aneurysm? How did you pull that diagnosis out of the air? It is a condition in your age that is almost unheard of. It usually occurs in adults who are older (60s) and have had high blood pressure. I don't know exactly what is going on, perhaps a lymph node or something else. I'm not discounting your symptoms but I doubt the ER is what you need.
