Not your artery: Your carotid artery does not have that kind of sensation, you most likely have a throat infection, viral or bacterial, but you don't feel your arteries like this, I'm afraid you are looking up to many things on libe and creating anxiety!

Your artery: Is deep so you would not see it if it was swollen. A sore throat hurts but as long as you can swallow you are ok. You should be fine waiting till monday. Hurtful not harmful
