Abdominal issues: I think you touched on two separate issues - stomach and hernia. I am not sure what you mean by reducing the size of the stomach. Are you trying to lose weight? Bariatric surgery involves modifying the anatomy of the stomach often reducing its size but it's done for the sole purpose of weight loss. As far as hernia, depends on what hernia that is and what surgery is used to correct it.

Need more info: A hernia where? Are you are talking about an inguinal hernia? Your surgeon should give you exact post op instructions. Why do you want to :reduce" your stomach?
