Not really: Tonsils would have to get infected blood onto them. Not likely. HIV is passed by bodily fluids, generally live blood transfer. But can also be with sexual transmission. Kissing does not transfer it. HIV infects immune cells found in blood and lymph nodes and causes activation of lymph nodes with enlargement of nodes including tonsils.
