Exam: It's difficult to know for sure, but an exam would be most helpful in your case. Subtle grayish spots that move with eye movements are usually vitreous floaters & are seen in the light. You describe that you don't notice this spot in light, but presumably when you turn off the lights. This may represent some subtle changes in the retina or could be just after image which dissipates quickly. Exam.
