A member asked:

If i have aids will i test negative for hiv i test hiv negative 25 week after exposure?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

HIV seroconversion: Most people with an exposure will seroconvert (test positive) or not, by 3 months post-exposure. We do advised a followup test at 6 months post-exposure, just to be sure, so if you're negative at 25 weeks then likely you are fine. AIDS is simply a more advanced stage of HIV infection.
