Unclear info: Spots on the brain is not a medical term. Headaches per se do not affect the brain. Brain disorders can cause headaches. It would be prudent to ask your doctor for an explanation.

Doc is correct: If your Mom has migraine, specific localized "spots" can be noted on MRI images.
