I just received the results from a hip mri and the findings state "prominent superior acetabular labrocartilaginous sulcus" what does that mean??

Complicated: Easy answer for a physician to answer with medical jargon but difficult to explain to a layman without pictures. Please consult with your physician who can diagram and explain the MRI results with pictures.

Normal Variant: This can be a normal finding and part of your anatomy. It is unlikely to be a source of your symptoms, however, be sure to follow-up with the ordering provider to clinically correlate your physical exam with the findings on the MRI.
