Enteral iron: Might guve gi side effects but no anaphylaxis, like parenteral preparations sometimes do

Very unlikely: There are a few case reports of patients who have had anaphylaxis to oral iron salts. This is very unlikely to occur, This is not uncommon with intravenous iron dextran.
