Injured nail: The nail should not hurt at this stage. If you have blood under the nail it may still be sore. The nail should not hurt growing out. If you are having pain you need to see your Dr as you could have an infection

Finger nail: Injury can cause nail bed death. That will lead to nail alvusion. New nail will grow with no adverse effects. Pain may indicate infection. Get examined
