A member asked:

Having lp-pla2 at "high risk" and mpo stain (qualitative) "positive" may imply exactly what!? what other test should be done after these? mri?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

LPA: This is a blood test at a specific vascular enzyme that is a marker for rupture prone plaque. In English, it means you have fatty blockages in your blood vessels that can rupture and break off. That could lead to total blockage somewhere. BAD. You should probably get a carotid ultrasound and a cardiac stress test if you have absolutely ANY other symptoms. Talk with the physician who ordered this.
